About us

The Irish Historic Flight Foundation exists to preserve, operate and share aircraft connected with Ireland’s aviation heritage. Established in 2014, powered entirely by volunteers and based at our dedicated facility at Ballyboy Airfield in County Meath, IHFF brings historic aircraft to life in a way that connects past achievement with future possibility.

Our work is built around a simple purpose: Preserve. Educate. Inspire.

We care for aircraft that tell an important part of Ireland’s aviation story and use them to create learning experiences that spark ambition in the next generation.

This section introduces who we are, what guides us, how we are governed, what we are planning for the future, and the volunteer team behind the Foundation. Use the pages below to explore each area in more detail.
